1 yr old birthday

We had a small family celebration for his first birthday. Nothing fanciful. We had dinner at the Singapore Swimming Club. But his 2 Jiejie is so sweet, they went up the stage to dedicate a birthday song for him!

First Smile

We went to the zoo today and this is the first time my dear boy respond to the word "SMILE"

This smile had becomes his trademark smile now.

Sweet Dreams

Can't resist taking this photo when I see him sleeping so soundly and sweetly.

First Swim

Daddy brought them down for a swim once we got home. This is the first time my boy actually get into the pool as he had been having flu and cough on and off for the past few months...

Anyway, he loves the water and keep kicking his legs. But when daddy brought him over to the Jacuzzi area, he started to cry and cringed on tightly to daddy. Think my timid boy is scared of the bubbles pressure oozing out from below.

Baby Contest

Last month when I fetch Dajie Rachel to her piano class, I saw on the C.C.'s notice board that they are having a Baby Contest and decided to try my luck with him...Guess in mummy's eyes, her baby is always the best : P

Today is the contest and we are very excited (okay, it's only mummy & the sisters that are excited, daddy said I'm wasting time : { )

For his catergory, the doctor did a full body check-up on him to see if he is healthy. My boy was also asked to pick up tiny pits of paper with his 2 finger to test his motor skill. He passed that! Then, we were told to wait at the hall for result.

His 2 jiejie were more excited than me and when they are announcing the result, they keep asking if their DiDi win. I even caught them praying! And when their brother did win, I was a little disappointed. But his 2 sister asked why and Rachel even tears. We have to console her and explain that to her that it's okay even if her brother didn't win. It's just for the fun of it and there can only be 1 winner in every game.

Chesty Lung

He's been coughing and whizzing. Our doctor decided that the fastest way to clear his lungs would be to let him breathe in the medication instead of taking it orally.

Indeed he felt very much better after the inhaling session but it was a struggle to keep his head still when we have to count to 10.

Learning To Crawl

My sweetie is now very active and playful.

He is now learning to crawl by pulling himself forward but so far, still not able to move very far...

But I really love his BIG smile.

First Set of Teeth

His 2 jiejie only started teething when they are around 9 months old and I was surprised to feel small bump on his gum today! My baby is teething at 6 months of age!

My maid said he must be a very greedy baby, can't wait to eat the nice food around him : )

First Fever

This morning, when I lifted him up, I felt my poor baby's body was a little warm and after taking his temperature confirmed that he is down with fever.

Now I know why he kept fidgeting and crying yesterday. He was trying to complain to me that he was not feeling well and I completely overlook it!

My maid said he's very "mun jar" (cry for attention at little things) like the daddy. ; P

Sucking His Little Thumb

He had been fidgeting in his sleep today and kept crying whenever I stopped rocking him.

To keep my sanity, I decided to walk away from the rocker. Initially, he protested a little but then quickly everything was quiet. I was a little worried (*sigh* baby not crying also worried mum) and I saw him suckling his own thumb and sleeping soundly.

This is the first time he suckled on his thumb and though it looks very cute, I'm determined to stop this before it becomes an addiction!
