Baby @ Week 31

Today, my gynae took advantage of the trial machine she got and took a detailed look at the C-scar. She was very satisfy with what she sees. At least for now, the scar looks pretty good and I should able to last till week 37. All this while, she was very worried that the scar might give way and the uterus rupture. So, we can all sleep in peace for some weeks, at least for now.

The blood test I took in week 28 came back and it showed that I grossly lack of iron (blood). My result shows 9.7g/dL while the acceptable range is 11.5 - 16.5g/dL! .. hmm.. seems like LZmommy and I have a lot in common. hahaha.. She wants me to up my Iron and folic tablets and eat more meats and spinach. She explained that she doesn't wish to used other people's blood for the surgery, so I have to have enough blood for the C-section.

Everything is doing fine and baby is very active. He is still in a bridge position but gynae said it is a good position for C-section as she can easily grab the legs and pull him out. Its more tricky to hold the neck.

My next appointment with her will be in 2 weeks time and that will be another detailed scanning. Hopefully by then, she will decide when the baby is coming out.

Glad to read you and 'baby' fine.
You just take it easy, don't watch scary movies or Sex in the city kind of shows...ha ha.
And drink lots of soya bean, good for baby complexion....
Keep well, Lee.

angeline - Thanks for praying for me :) With modern "technology", they can allow for 4 now. but like every surgery, there is a risk..

Pet & Momsgather - thanks :)

uncle Lee - so sorry I didn't have the time to hop over nowadays. hahaha..I don't fancy scary movie now that I'm old. I prefer comedy :)

Since I had C sect for Sarah last time, I think I will choose the same method if I have next bb, kekekek!

Joanne - its always better to go for natural birth, but of course, it has to depend if your gynae allows you to. I wanted natural birth for my 2nd baby but due to complication, had to go for C-sect :(

So are you planning for another one soon?

Sarah's Daddy and Mommy said...

Actually the main reason I went for C-Sect when I was having Sarah because my servicks was very slow in dilation. It just dilated one cm in 19 hours.

Hmmm...I am keeping my fingers crossed for my second bb that the same incident wont happen.

Haha, I have yet to think of the question to get a didi or mei mei for Sarah.

Joanne - wow! you are in labour for 19 hours!!! gosh!

hahaha..so you might want to start thinking abt it now :P

Sarah's Daddy and Mommy said...

Yes Michelle, I was in labour for 19 hours. But thanked to Epidural. So it has lesser my pain.

Erm, I think I will think of having second baby when Sarah about 2 or 3 years old.

Joanne - I'm sure she will be very excited when the times come!
